I graduated from D'Youville College in 2003, with a Master of Science in Education.

I am certified in secondary English, and I am a member of the National Council of Teachers of English.

I currently teach freshman composition at two local colleges. Before I became a teacher, I was a journalist, and I still write both for fun and for profit.

I have written for daily, weekly and monthly publications, full time and as a stringer. Additionally, I am on the editorial board of Toasted Cheese, an online writing community and literary magazine.
